This train is the luxury train that is led by the Indian railway. It basically covers four routes more than twelve destinations. This train started running on the month of March in the year 2010. So Maharajas Express is been runned by THE Indian Railway Catering And Tourism Corporation. This train gives eight grand luxury tours in India. Maharajas express conquering the title of six consecutive years in the World Travel Awards. The train has a mind blowing architectural magnificence with great hospitality amenities. It gives you a lavish tour of the country’s best destinations. Commencing from Mumbai to the astonishing Ajanta Caves to Udaipur and from there to Jodhpur, Bikaner and Jaipur and gives you a splendor tour of famous wildlife places in India such places like the Ranthambhore. Takes you to the journey of the ancient Taj Mahal and then to the historic place Delhi.
ABOUT THE TRAIN –
Maharajas Express train covers the destinations starting from Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Bikaner, Udaipur, Jodhpur, and Ranthambhore. The train has twenty three coaches having accommodations like Bar, Dining, Store Cars, Generators and Lounge. This train could carry total eighty four passengers. The lounge in the train is named as Rajah club that has a private bar. Maharaja’s train has approx. four cabins, the Deluxe Cabin, Presidential suit, Suit as well as junior suit. This train also contains restaurants with a lounge bar. Every cabin is well decorated and furnished beautifully. All cabins have amenities like Television with LCD screens, also international telephone facilities available, a wardrobe, air conditioning, with all bathroom facilities. They also provide you with bathrobes, hair dryer, and slippers with luxury toiletries. Each cabin is well looked by the best of staff providing friendly service throughout the journey. The Deluxe cabin consist of twenty deluxe cabins having twelve twin bedded with eight double bedded, Junior suit has eighteen suits that have twelve twin bedded with six double bedded, then suit has total four rooms having 220 square feet. All four suits are double bedded having wide views from the window. The presidential suit has a drawing room with two bedrooms and washrooms.
MAHARAJAS EXPRESS DINING –
Maharaja’s train is popular for its overall presentation whether it is a taste or journey it has never failed to impress each passengers travelling in this train. Apart from the interior it has various cuisines that is been served, there are exclusively two dining’s which is been decorated that has seating capacity of 42. It serves in Continental and traditional dishes from the corners of the globe. There are two restaurants inside the Maharajas Express the first is Mayur Mahal that is been interpreted as the peacock palace so this restaurant contains golden peacock masterpiece that greets each guests into the ambience. Then comes Rang Mahal that is clearly means Palace of colors. The restaurant has a fresco painting on the ceiling adding on to colours making it more appealing. There will be lampshades highlighting the fresco painting. So these restaurants can accommodate only forty two people that per time.
MAHARAJAS EXPRESS LOUNGE AND BAR–
Maharajas Express lounge and bar are the most stylish place for the guests to visit. There you will find varities in wines that is available for the guests. The wines are specifically of branded and top quality that is been served in the lounge. No doubt you will lay back and enjoy your drinks with the alluring vibes around. This is the best way one could enjoy their journey. There are two bars named Safari bar and Rajah Club like the Safari bar is popular with varities of wines are available inside that sets in the Safari. The Safari provides you with imported hand cut crystal glasses to serve. Then comes Rajah Club that gives you games tables, also with arm chairs in the club to give comfort to the passengers.
MAHARAJAS EXPRESS CABINS–
Now talking about the bedroom so Maharajas express train consists of five deluxe cabins, with six junior suits, that has two suits with a presidential suit. All the cabins are provided with a double bed or twin beds with telephone facilities, television with LCD, WIFI, along with DVD players having electronic safes. Bathrooms having shower facilities provided in the cabins.
Deluxe Cabins
With an area of 112 sq. ft, 20 Deluxe Cabins come as twin cabins and double cabins. There are 12 twin cabins and 8 double sharing cabins Each cabin can accommodate two guests so, the total capacity of guests is 40.

Junior Suite
The area of Junior Suite is 150 sq. ft that offers comfortable beds, attached bathrooms, artistic finesse, and elegant interiors. This suite is well-equipped with top-class facilities and comes with 12 Twin and 6 Double. The total capacity to accommodate guests in Junior cabins is 36.

Suite
The Suites in Maharaja Express are tastefully appointed and come up with double cabins. There are a total of four Suites in the train that offer Sylvan furnishings and modern amenities. You will feel the royalty in everything in the Suite. The total capacity to accommodate guests in one Suite is 8.

Presidential Cabin
The presidential cabin is one of the most luxurious cabins of Maharaja Express, and it is reserved for an entire carriage. This cabin is one of its kind in the world that redefines the word luxury and elegance. You will get a separate sitting cum dining room, bedroom with spacious bathrooms fitted with a bathtub. On top of that, modern facilities give you the next level of comfort. Staying in this cabin feels like living in a moving palace. The total capacity to accommodate guests in a Presidential Suite is 4.

Details
Day 1: Sunday Morning: New Delhi depart
Report by 0730 a.m. at Delhi Safderjung Railway Station for traditional welcome & check-in formalities of Maharajas Express. Train departs by 830 a.m. . Breakfast & Lunch on board
Sunday Evening: Jaipur
Train arrives in late afternoon at Jaipur, proceed for Dinner at exclusive venue & later return to Maharajas Express & train stationed overnight at Jaipur.
Day 02: Monday: Jaipur
After sumptuous breakfast, proceed for Excursion to UNESCO World Heritage Site of 16th century built Amber Fort Palace, built atop a small hillock on city outskirts. Return to Maharaja Express for Lunch.
Post lunch option to be at leisure on board the train OR avail optional tours.
Later in the evening train departs for Sawai Madhopur and dinner on board.

Day 03: Tuesday Morning: Ranthambhore
On arrival at Sawai Madhopur Railway Station, proceed for excursion to Jungles of Ranthambhore – the private hunting ground of the Maharajas. Possible sighting of the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger. Also, sambar, chital, nilgai, chinkara, wild boar, sloth bear, hyena, jackal and leopard. Return to train and enjoy breakfast and lunch on board. Depart onwards.
Tuesday Afternoon: Fatehpur Sikri
Arrive at Fatehpur Sikri and proceed for excursion to the deserted Mughal City, comprising of imposing gateways, Halls of Private and Public audience and beautifully sculptured palaces. Return to the Maharajas Express train for dinner & train departs.
Day 4: Wednesday: Agra
Early morning visit One of seven wonders of Modern World, The Taj Mahal; constructed entirely out of white marble, an architectural masterpiece featuring beautiful inlay work and marble screens. This is followed by another exclusive event, champagne breakfast overlooking Taj Mahal, atop a hillock. Later return to comforts of Maharajas Express for Lunch.

Thursday Afternoon: Khajuraho
After Visiting Erotic Kama Sutra temples, Choice to Either return to comforts of Maharajas Express Or Avail Optional Activities.
Dinner on board & late night train departs for Varanasi.

Day 6: Friday: Varanasi

On arrival proceed to 5 Star Hotel for lunch., followed by excursion to Sarnath- where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon 2500 years ago and brief visit to Silk Weaving Centre. Late afternoon enjoy Boat Ride in Holy Ganges River to witness magical lamp immersion ceremony.
Evening Proceed to Exclusive Venue of Brij Rama Palace for Kathak Dance performance & local cuisine Vegetarian Dinner.
Later return back to comforts of Maharajas Express & train departs from Varanasi.
Day 7: Saturday Afternoon: New Delhi Check Out
Breakfast and Lunch on board. Train arrives by 1500 hrs. at Delhi Safderjung Railway Station & Journey aboard Maharajas Express ends on arrival

Booking Procedure
- We require Name/Nationality/Date of Birth/Passport Numbers of all the passengers to process booking request.
- Booking will be confirmed on receipt of MINIMUM 30% advance deposit of Ticket Value.
- Balance Payment must reach us at least 70 days before tour depart.
- Booking request made less than 70 days before tour depart, will be confirmed on receipt of one time full deposit of ticket value.
- Payment can be made by Online Credit Card OR Swift Bank Wire Transfer.
- To issue Travel documents ,we require Passport Copy of all passengers & Reservation Form.
- Advice interest to Book Hotels in New Delhi & Mumbai or customized package tours pre/post train tour journey.
- Passengers are advised to pre-book Tour Insurance from country of origin.
CANCELLATION TERMS
- Royal Indian Trains is PSA-IA of Maharajas’ Express operated by IRCTC; & our liability is limited to that of Booking Agent Only.
- All requests for cancellation must be made in writing & acknowledged by us.
- Minimum 30% of ticket value will be charged as cancellation fee if booking cancelled > 65 days before tour depart.
- Minimum 50% of ticket value will be charged as cancellation fee if booking cancelled between 64 days to 50 days before tour depart.
- Full 100% of ticket value will be charged as cancellation fee if booking cancelled < 49 days before tour depart.
- Request for Change in Passenger Name/Journey Date as per IRCTC policy.
- All overseas refunds ,as per cancellation policy are subject to rules & regulations of Reserve Bank Of India.
- Royal Indian Trains reserves the right to deduct US$ 100 bank processing fee to process overseas funds & will be refunded in equivalent INR Rupees as per amount received.
- Train Tour Operator (IRCTC) reserves the right to cancel the scheduled depart if occupancy is less & refund the advance received (with NO further liability).
- Disputes, if any, are subject to Jurisdiction of Courts of New Delhi (India) Only.
