Palace on wheels is India’s Luxury & Royal train; Indian railways launched the Palace on Wheels in association with the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation this was done in order to promote tourism in Rajasthan. No doubt the journey with the palace on wheels will take you on a sparkling tour and makes you touch the rich sand dunes and also regal palaces. So basically the palace on wheels comes as the fourth best luxury train in the entire globe. Palace on wheels has an inherent ambiance that is well structured with beauty and charm that touches the Indian Territory. This train covers about 2,411 km which is estimated approximately. Palace on wheels gives you the ancient vibe of the royal kings and queens on the rail. This train goes through the territory of Rajasthan covers seven days and has a tagline for it that is a week in wonderland. So the Palace on Wheels is not an ordinary train but apart from that it gives you a brief history of Indian heritage and tells you about the culture. The palace on wheels is been decorated with the riches of Rajputana. Palace on Wheels gives you the most unforgettable memory in your entire lifetime.

Details

Day 1 – Delhi

By 1600 hrs, assemble at the Safdarjung Railway Station to enjoy a traditional hello. Get a royal Garland hello with turban and a Tikka on your forepart. Complete the check-in formalities and get aboard the Palace on Wheels. Enjoy a welcome drink. Once inside the train, you’re free to explore this luxury train and its installations. Regale at any of the 2 caffs of the train. The train departs from the station at 1830 hrs for its first destination, Jaipur.

Day 2 – Jaipur

Early morning appearance in Jaipur, Rajasthan’s capital, also known as the Pink City at3.20 hrs. After breakfast on- board, embark on a megacity stint of Jaipur. The lodestones of the day to enjoy before lunch include the complex of City Palace, Albert Hall Museum, Jantar Mantar, and Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds. Later, enjoy your lunch at a star hostel. Post lunch, you’ll be taken to the Amber stronghold, where you’ll also enjoy giant lift. Explore this notorious stronghold, placed on a hilltop. After sightseeing, you’ll visit the original requests of Jaipur. Then you can protect for monuments in the form of crafts, traditional clothes, rocks, jewelry, and more. 

 Back aboard the train by 1900 hours for the evening tea. Enjoy some free time inside the Palace on Wheels. Savor a royal dining experience at Palace on Wheels. After regale, overnight stay in the train that departs for Sawai Madhopur, the coming destination, at20.00 hrs.

Day 3-Sawai Madhopur – Chittorgarh

On the 3rd day, enjoy an early morning visit to the world-popular Ranthambore National Park, around 14 km from Sawai Madhopur. One of the largest public premises in India, it’s spread over 392 square km of land and is popular for housing a good population of barracuda. You’ll reach Sawai Madhopur at4.45 hrs and depart for the demesne at6.30 hrs. 

 During wildlife safari, you can spot several beast species including barracuda, sambar, hyena, idleness bear, spotted deer, chital, and over 275 avifauna species. After enjoying the safari, back aboard the Palace on Wheels for breakfast. Continue your trip to your coming destination, Chittorgarh. Enjoy lunch aboard. 

You’ll arrive at Chittorgarh at15.40 hrs. Latterly, you board the train to explore the high sightseer lodestones of Chittorgarh including the magnific Chittorgarh Fort. The evening is listed for enjoying tea followed by a light and sound show at the stronghold. After the show, get on- board the Palace on Wheels for a late stay. Enjoy regale on- board.

Day 4 – Udaipur

The train starts the trip to Udaipur at02.00 hrs. On day 4, arrive in Udaipur by 0700 hours. Established in the 15th century by Maharana Udai Singh, Udaipur is relatively popular for its palaces and lakes. It’s one of the most popular sightseer destinations around the world. Have your royal breakfast onboard and latterly, embark on sightseeing of Udaipur. 

 You’ll visit popular lodestones like Saheliyon Ki Bari, City Palace & Crystal Gallery, and so on. Later, enjoy a luxurious lunch at Fateh Prakash Hotel, a heritage hostel. The evening is listed for voyaging on Lake Pichola followed by tea at the quay. Back to the train at15.30 hrs. Palace on Wheel begins its trip for Jaisalmer, the coming destination at16.00 hrs. Enjoy regale on board and a late stay.

Day 5 – Jaisalmer

On the 5th day of the stint, the train enters the megacity of Jaisalmer. Post breakfast onboard the train, embark on a sightseeing stint of the megacity. The list of the lodestones of the day includes the extremely beautiful and well- known Havelis ( palaces) including Nathmalji ki Haveli, Patwon ki Haveli, The notorious Jaisalmer Fort, and Gadsisar Lake. 

Later, return to train and have lunch on board. Latterly, leave for sightseeing across the world-popular Sam Sand Stacks. Enjoy a memorable evening view during a camel lift. 

Enjoy luxurious regale and a artistic performance at a 5- star hostel. Back to the train for staying overnight as the train chugs-off to Jodhpur. 

Day 6 - Jodhpur

Train arrives at 08:00 AM in Jodhpur and after on-board breakfast proceed for sightseeing of 16th century built Mehrangarh Fort, atop a rocky hill which soars 125 Mts. above Jodhpur town. The Palace complex it is approached by a series of gateways set at an angle so that enemy armies could not charge, with any success. Once past the Fort gates, you have access to breath taking Palatial Apartments (Mahal), overlooking wide courtyards. Inside the fort complex is a museum having wide & impressive collection of Royal dresses & Medieval weapons. Nearby the Fort complex is located, late 19th century built Jaswant Thada, a cluster of royal cenotaphs in white marble. Later visit museum at Umaid Bhawan Palace, displaying personal artifacts of H.H. Maharaja of Jodhpur. Lunch is served at Hanwant Mahal Boutique Restaurant.

Return to Palace on Wheels train and depart by 3:30PM. Dinner is served on-board.

Day 7 - Bharatpur/ Agra

After arriving in Jodhpur on the 6th day of the stint, have breakfast on- board the train. Latterly, leave the comforts of the train for indulging in sightseeing of Jodhpur, which includes high lodestones of the megacity similar as the Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, and the Umaid Bhawan Palace & Museum. Later, you’re taken to the notorious requests across Jodhpur megacity. You can get your hands on exclusive handcraft particulars including flatware, exaggerated shoes, tie, and bepaint fabrics. 

Your lunch is listed in the palace hostel. Return to train at16.00 hrs. 

Have Regale and stay overnight on- board Palace on Wheels as the train continues to Bharatpur. 

Day 8- Delhi Departure

Today is the last day of the stint when the train enters the Safdarjung Railway Station. Have breakfast on- board the train, followed by check- eschewal formalities at7.30 hrs.

Palace On Wheels Booking Procedure :

  • Advice depart dates with number of persons & cabin type required
  • We require Name/sex/nationality of all the passengers to process booking.
  • In case of children< 12 years travelling with you , We also require their Date of Birth .
  • Booking will be confirmed on receipt of MINIMUM 25% of Published Ticket value (inclusive taxes) as advance deposit.
  • Balance payment must reach us before 65 days before tour depart
  • Booking request made< 65 days prior to tour depart, will be confirmed on receipt of ONE Time full payment
  • We require Passport copies of all passengers to issue travel documents.
  • Indian Nationals can forward copy of Aadhar Card . (If NOT having Passport)
  • Saloon/cabin Allocation will only be made at time of Check-In at Railway Station .
  • Advice arrival/depart details in New Delhi & interest to book Hotels through us.
  • The Palace On Wheels is operated & managed by RTDC( Tourism Dept. of Rajasthan Govt.) & we at Royal Indian Trains are their Booking Agents
  • In case of Increase in Tariff Or Taxes made by Train Tour Operator ,Guest is liable to Pay the same.

Original Cancellation Rules ( Valid till February 2020 Departs)

  • Minimum Cancellation Levy of 10% of Published Ticket Value (inclusive taxes) if request more than 92 days before Train Depart
  • Minimum Cancellation Levy of 20% of Published Ticket Value (inclusive taxes) if request between 91 to 32 days before Train Depart
  • Full 100% Cancellation Levy of Published Ticket Value (inclusive taxes) if request less than 32 days before Train Depart
  • Train Tour Operator Reserves the Right to Amend Booking Terms & cancellation Policy ,from Time to Time.

Prevailing Cancellation Rules (as per Train Tour Operator)

  • In case Scheduled Train Tour gets Cancelled due to what’s over reason Or Guest Cannot Reach New Delhi Due to International Travel Restrictions A Credit Note Will be Issue for Advance Paid & same will be adjusted in Future Journey of Choice.

  • Maximum liability of Royal Indian trains is limited to that of booking agent only.
